The other day my friend Melissa brought me a gigantic tray of lime basil microgreens – far more than I could possibly use so I shared them with every cook I could find who I thought might be able to use some. They came to her via her daughter, Alix, who had received them from a co-worker, Mark Hubbard, who is starting a company called Pappy Hubbard’s Garden – I assume raising perfectly beautiful microgreens for restaurants and specialty grocers. If this batch is any indication, Pappy Hubbard has got a spectacular green thumb. We wish him much, much luck!
